Prior to joining Heptagon, Erik was CTO of $24B supply-chain solutions company Flextronics, where he reorganized the global engineering services business in centers-of-excellence addressing the building blocks of smart products, founded the pro-active innovation services business, and grew this to over $1B+ in revenues leading to a go-to-market strategy shift towards smart products. Prior to this role, Erik served as VP & GM of the engineering services business of Flextronics’ $3B+ industrial business group. As CTO & VP of Advantest Americas he founded the solid-state drive business which became the third business group of Advantest. He previously served as CTO of Verigy, which was sold to Advantest, and as a consulting professor of Stanford. He is an angel investor in various startups, founder of the Dutch School of Silicon Valley, holds a PHD EE from Stanford, and a MBA from Wharton.
